Description

This is not the kind of rose otto you come across and casually replace later.

Even within serious rose work, Rosa Raduga remains one of the least encountered cultivars, and when it does appear, it brings a profile that immediately explains why it sits outside ordinary production.

The first impression is rose, but quickly something deeper begins to move underneath — floral powder, soft warmth, and a darker richness that gives the material far more shape than expected from such a clear, transparent otto.

It feels composed, unusual, and quietly addictive from the very beginning.

At a glance

  • What it is: A rare organic Georgian Rose Otto from Rosa Raduga with floral depth, powdery warmth, and unusual gourmand nuances
  • Who it’s for: Those seeking a rose oil that moves beyond freshness into something deeper, warmer, and more distinctive
  • How to use: Can be worn neat on skin in trace amounts, or used as a high-end perfumery material

The opening is immediately refined but not familiar in the usual rose direction. The rose arrives with soft floral powder already present, followed by a subtle richness that suggests dark sweetness without becoming edible. There is depth here, but it remains airy — a rare balance for a rose otto.

As it develops, darker tones begin to form quietly beneath the floral body. The rose becomes warmer, fuller, and more sensual, with faint green traces of stem and leaf holding the structure upright so the richness never collapses into heaviness.

A delicate powdery effect continues through the heart, giving the material an elegant softness that feels almost textile-like on skin. At moments, a gentle coolness passes through the aroma, creating contrast against the warmer floral body and making the material feel unusually alive.

In the deeper stages, the rose settles into something beautifully composed — soft floral warmth, gentle red fruit depth, and a refined musky powder that remains long after the brighter floral edges have softened.

Wearing the material

In trace amounts, Georgian Rose Otto wears beautifully on skin. The floral opening remains elegant and controlled, while the warmer powdery depth becomes more apparent with body heat, giving the material a very refined personal aura.

In perfumery

This is not a conventional rose otto chosen simply for brightness or floral lift. It brings shape, warmth, and a distinctive supporting architecture that allows a rose accord to feel fuller and more emotionally textured.

It performs especially well in floral-gourmand work, luxury rose bases, chocolate-leaning structures, and compositions built around orris, jasmine grandiflorum, sandalwood, oakwood, clean ouds, and musks where softness and depth need to coexist naturally.

Steam distillation preserves the finer floral volatility of Rosa raduga while allowing its unusual powdery warmth and deeper supporting nuances to remain fully present.

The result is a rose otto that feels rare not only because of supply, but because its behaviour is genuinely different.

What is an otto?

An otto is a highly concentrated aromatic material obtained through steam distillation. This method captures the volatile floral components of the flower while preserving its natural aromatic identity.

In fine perfumery, rose ottos are valued for their clarity, realism, and their ability to shape a composition without artificial weight.

The Raw Natural Collection showcases rare and exceptional oils, carefully curated from our private library.
